THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Township will host a Labor Day celebration at Waterway Square 6-9 p.m. Aug. 31, and Sept. 1.

The free event will feature music, children's activities and fireworks displays. More than 6,000 people attended each evening of The Woodlands Labor Day celebration in 2012.

This year, event organizers are expecting as many as 8,000 attendees each evening.

"The Labor Day celebration signals the end of the summer season and the beginning of fall, when The Woodlands continues to be a great weekend get-away,"" said Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau.
