For those who dare, tell us your most scary history or Halloween tale for the Pavilion's Hocus Pocus Pops "Spooktacular"" Essay Contest. It can be completely fictional or based in personal experience. Be creative! The contest is open for all students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The contest ends on September 20.

THE WOODLANDS, TX - YMCA The Woodlands has expanded its class offerings for home school students including PE, Eco Quest and Computer Class.

Home School PE Class is a quality physical education program for home schooled youth, ages 3 - 12.The class will meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, 1:00 - 2:30pm at the Shadowbend YMCA location in The Woodlands. The Fall semester ends December 12. Students will rotate through a variety of age appropriate sports and training disciplines with focus on fundamental skills and team building. The program curriculum may include aerobics, tumbling, climbing wall, sports, aquatics, strength and conditioning and Presidential fitness testing and training.

THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Children's Museum is partnering with the U.S. Troop Support Foundation in collecting any unopened Halloween candy for our soldiers. The U.S. Troop Support Foundation will ship the candy to our troops stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Candy donations will be accepted at the Museum from Thursday, November 1 through Tuesday, November 6. Feel free to include a personal note or card to our soldiers.
