THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Development Company, has announced that entries are now being accepted for The Woodlands Wildflower Festival Poster Contest. The contest is held annually in conjunction with The Woodlands Wildflower Festival, a popular community tradition that is celebrated each fall. The Woodlands Wildflower Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 10 am to 2 pm at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands' Village of Creekside Park. The festival will be held on the 39th anniversary of The Woodlands.

Contest entries should portray a nature scene in the spirit of the Wildflower Festival. Interested parties should draw a favorite scene from nature on heavy, unlined white paper, canvas or poster board, no larger than 11" X 17.""…

THE WOODLANDS, TX - Las inscripciones estan abiertas para el "Open Water Swim"", ""Open Water Swim Clinic con T.J."" y ""Triathlon First-Timer's Clinic"" este sabado, 27 de abril en Northshore Park en la villa de Panther Creek.

Preparate para un sprint o el triatlon a tu propio ritmo con el ""Open Water Swim"", nadando una distancia corta, larga o ambas en Lake Woodlands. La ruta larga, de aproximadamente 1.2 millas es de 7:30 a 9:30 am. La ruta corta, de 500 metros aproximadamente, es de 10:30 am a 12:30 pm. No hay instructor en este evento.

THE WOODLANDS, TX - The first Hughes Landing tenants began moving into their new offices in One Hughes Landing in early September, but the office building is only the first of many projects on the horizon. With residential, retail and dining projects planned in the near future, demand for space is strong for the 66-acre mixed-use development.

Plans for Hughes Landing in The Woodlands include 1.5 million to 2 million square feet of office space, 800–1,000 apartment units, 175,000–200,000 square feet of retail, 200,000 square feet for a hotel and a fitness center to serve workers, said Alex Sutton, co-president of The Woodlands Development Company.
