"The Woodlands Kiwanis Club"" will host the 29th Kid's Fishing Tournament this Saturday September 1 at Creekwoood Park, across McCullough Junior High School in The Village of Panther Creek in The Woodlands. Registration is free and will begin at 7 am. The event will take place from 8 to 10 am.

There will be free hot dogs and sodas. Bait will also be free, but participants must bring their own fishing poles. Participants must be younger than 16 years old. All participants will receive trophies and those who catch more fishes and the biggest fish will receive a special trophy.

The Woodlands area will soon be home to one of the largest sports training complexes in Texas.

Legends Sports Complex, which is located at 602 Pruitt Road just south of Sawdust Road, plans to open its doors in January. "This will be one of the largest multi-sports complexes in Texas,"" said Legends' General Manager Todd Allen. ""It's pretty neat to have it right here in The Woodlands Tx.""
