THE WOODLANDS, TX - As the Village of Creekside Park continues to grow, The Woodlands Township Board of Directors has taken steps to grow the law enforcement presence in the community as well.
Starting in 2013, the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office will provide five full-time deputies and one full-time sergeant for the village located in Harris County off Kuykendahl Road just south of the Montgomery County line. The township's 2012 agreement with the constable's office provided for three full-time deputies.
The are currently 3,492 homes in Creekside Park and at build-out will have close to 7,000 houses.
Nancy Decker Lent, president of the Creekside Park Village Association, said she is happy to see additional patrol as more residents move into the community. She added safety of the community has been a priority for the township board.
