On March 28, 2008 in San Angelo, Texas, Five awards were presented to members of The Woodlands Parks and Recreation Department. These awards were presented at the Texas Recreation and Parks Society (TRAPS) Annual Awards Banquet.

The Gold Medal Award was won by The Woodlands Parks and Recreation Department for departments serving populations of 50,000 to 100,000. THE WOODLANDS, TX - Town Green Park and The Woodlands Waterway once again will be the scene for ghosts and goblins at the Fourth Annual Trick or Treat Trail in The Woodlands from 3-6 p.m. Oct. 27.

Produced by The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Trick or Treat Trail brings out families for trick-or-treating, vendor booths, children's activities, costume contests, games and more.
