Ground is scheduled to be broken at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 14 for the new home being built in The Woodlands, Tx for Chris Sanford, a U.S. Army soldier who was wounded in Iraq.

Sanford, a Houston, Tx native, suffered serious injuries after an IED discharged near his platoon.

The project is being facilitated by the Texas Sentinels Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides mortgage-free homes and a new lease on life to U.S. Military Personnel who were seriously injured in overseas conflicts since 9-11-01.

Led by Jacci Kilgore and Carol Knott, The Woodlands Texas Sentinels Foundation Team is scheduled to be joined by sponsors, donors, area builders and community leaders at the home site, 114 Prairie Lea South Circle in Creekside Park, The Woodlands.

Knott stated, ""This family has sacrificed so much. We're thrilled to welcome Chris and Christine to our community.""
