THE WOODLANDS, TX- The Walk to End Alzheimer's event in The Woodlands on Saturday, Oct. 6 raised more than $100,000 for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

As part of a nationwide effort, more than 1,000 Harrison and Montgomery County residents participated in the 5K walk, raising funds and awareness about the Alzheimer's Association and its mission according to a press release issued by the Alzheimer's Association.

Participants from homes in The Woodlands learned about what they can do to combat Alzheimer's disease and some of the current research being done.
