Montgomery County United Way has consolidated its offices.
Starting Monday, Montgomery County United Way will no longer be operating the location at 731 W. Davis in Conroe. All of United Way's Conroe staff has relocated to The Woodlands Texas office at 1600 Lake Front Circle, Suite 248 inTown Center The Woodlands.
The MCUW Board of Directors made the decision after a task force recommendation on the best location for the staff to serve the community from one location.
""We evaluated a number of locations and ultimately made the recommendation that made the most sense from an efficiency and cost savings basis,"" said Lucy Shanahan, of CBandI, who led a task force. ""We are still serving the county, just better.""
MCUW President Julie Martineau is very excited to bring her staff together.
""We have an amazing group of dedicated, passionate people who work hard to improve the lives of our county residents,"" Martineau said. ""The synergy we will share when we are all together will help us better serve Montgomery County well, now and in the future. With the help of our community, we plan on serving Montgomery and Liberty counties for at least another 57 years.""
