The Woodlands Development Company and The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau have stepped up as presenting sponsors for The Woodlands Wildflower Festival, an annual tradition set for Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 10am until 2pm at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodlands' Village of Creekside Park. The park is located at 6055 Creekside Forest Drive, The Woodlands TX 77389.

Residents will be able to collect a variety of free wildflower seeds, distributed by local businesses in The Woodlands. Displays of native plants, environmental exhibits and booths with nature-related gift items for sale add to the event. Children will enjoy free giant inflatable rides, a free petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and balloon artists.

Lovable mascot of The Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone, will pose for free photographs with children from 11am until 12 noon along with Bridgeland Bill, the mascot of The Woodlands' sister community, Bridgeland.

The official Wildflower Festival poster and tee-shirt, selected from the annual Wildflower Festival contest, will be available at the booth of The Woodlands Lions Club.
