On Thursday, January 28, Taste of the Town, the premier culinary event of South Montgomery County, is set to take place from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands, Tx.

At the event, you can enjoy mouth-watering appetizers, desserts, entrees, pastries and beverages from some of the area's finest restaurants, delis, bakeries and beverage companies.

Ticket price includes beverages, food and festivities. Also, the winner of The Woodlands Idol 2010 contest is scheduled to be announced at the event.

On Friday, February 26, the Chamber has scheduled the 24th Annual Economic Outlook Conference beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center as well.

Drawing 450-500 business and community leaders including senior executives from major companies, the Conference is the area's largest business event of the year.

This year's conference is set to include ""Turn Around King"" Greg Brenneman and Admiral Robert Smith from the Federal Reserve Bank, among others.

For this year's conference, the theme is ""It's all about the Economy…Road to Recovery"", and speakers are set to provide insight into the growth of The Woodlands business community and key issues to enable government, business and community leaders to better plan for the upcoming business year.

The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center is located in The Woodlands, near luxurious communities such as Windsor Lakes and Town Center.
