A fall vegetable gardening class is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 18, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Woodlands Township Town Hall is located at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.

The class is scheduled to be presented by writer and horticulturalist Tom LeRoy of Texas AgriLife Extension.

Titled ""Soil: The Living Layer of Earth,"" the three-hour class is scheduled to cover issues related to growing vegetables in Montgomery County.

Reservations for the class are required to ensure there is enough seating.

No cost is required to attend the class.

Twice a year, in February and August, The Woodlands Township sponsors free seminars on vegetable gardening.

Seminars are conducted by horticulturalists who are educated on the area and cover topics including vegetable planting and maintenance, soil preparation, and suitable plant varieties for Montgomery County.
