The climate in southeast Texas may damage lawns.
Wet, cool winters encourage an increase of fungal diseases and other infections.
Dry and hot summers can ruin grass blades and roots.
This Saturday, March 19, gardeners have the opportunity to learn all about lawns at the Gardening 101 Lawn Clinic sponsored by The Woodlands Township in The Woodlands, Tx.
The event is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Services Building 2.
The building is located at 8203 Millennium Forest Drive in The Woodlands.
Three experts in their fields are scheduled to describe which types of lawn grass do well, irrigation water-wise methods, fertilizing turf, and solutions for types of lawn diseases which are harmful to area lawns.
Gardening 101: ""Getting to the root of lawn care"" is part of a free gardening and landscaping series presented by The Woodlands Township and is scheduled to introduce residents to successful lawn care practices.
Whether trying to establish a new lawn or attempting to revive an existing one, residents can learn simple ways to create healthy lawns.
Though the workshop is free, seating is limited and reservations are required.
Please feel free to call, in order to reserve your spot.
The Parks, Recreation and Environmental Services Building 2 is located in The Woodlands by luxurious communities like Carlton Woods and Carlton Woods Creekside.
