THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Township is planning three racing events, the Muddy Trails Bash, the CBandI TRI and the 10 for Texas. The racing events attract thousands of participants and spectators each year, said The Woodlands Parks and Recreation development director Angel Nicks.
The sixth annual Muddy Trails Bash will be held April 6 at Rob Fleming Park, village of Creekside Park. The event includes chip-timed 5K and 10K races, as well as the Little Muddy Kids' One-Mile Fun Run and the 2K-9 Fun Run, which residents can run with their dogs.
The 10th annual CBandI TRI-Woodlands triathlon is May 4. It will include a 500-meter open-water swim in Lake Woodlands, a 15-mile cycling course and a 5K run. Registration is full for this event, but athletes can register on the waiting list.
The eighth annual 10 for Texas event will be Oct. 12. The event includes the 10-mile race for adults, as well as the one mile One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run, both of which start and end at Market Street The Woodlands.
