Homebuilders are purchasing lots in a new 400 acre neighborhood that will be in development in West Sterling Ridge. The Village of Sterling Ridge in The Woodlands will have these new homes for sale later in the year according to Buck Driggers, vice president of residential sales and development for The Woodlands Development Company.
Homebuilders will be able to buy these lots around May of this year and they will start building in approximately late spring and summer. There will be around 1,000 lots available for these homebuilders:
- Chesmar Homes
- Gracepoint Homes
- Highland Homes
- Plantation Homes
- Lennar
- David Weekley Homes
- Wilshire Homes
- Village Builders
Homes in this new neighborhood will vary in price ranges, floor plans offered, and lot sizes. The approximate range for these homes will start from the $190's to the mid $400's.
This new neighborhood in Sterling Ridge will have access off Branch Crossing Dr. and intersecting with May Valley Dr. It will also have access to FM 2978 at a western boundary of The Woodlands and it will be completed later in the year. The neighborhood of Spindle Tree is just west of this new neighborhood in The Woodlands.
The neighborhood will be located in the Magnolia Independent School District where children will attend a variety of excellent schools. There is also a proposed new school that will be located in the neighborhood. These schools include:

- Bear Branch 6th Grade Campus 8040 Ken Lake Drive
- Bear Branch High School 31310 FM 2978
