THE WOODLANDS, TX - While it may be too early to start breaking out the beach towels, residents of The Woodlands can gear up early for summer with the help of The Woodlands Market Street new shop: Flip Flop Shop.

Originally founded in 2004, Flip Flop Shops open its new location on The Woodlands Market Street in December and is the nation's first retail store to focus exclusively on selling flip flops and sandals. With 12 stores are currently open across Texas, and the recent opening in The Woodlands is one of three stores going up in the Houston area.

Flip Flop Shops focus on a wide range of ages, with footwear from young children all the way up to grandparents. The store specializes in a number of brands such as SANUK, REEF, Cobian, Quiksilver and ROXY among others.

Part of the advantage that Flip Flop Shops has over its competitors, such as larger department stores, is that its able to offer a far larger variety of flip flop and sandal styles in a wider range of shapes and sizes.
