On Saturday, November 28 and Saturday, December 5, Market Street in The Woodlands, Tx will host the Tri-County Mental Health and Mental Retardation (MHMR) Services From the Heart program from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 29 and Sunday, December 6 from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Every year during the holiday season, From the Heart is a holiday campaign done to help provide Tri-County MHMR Services (Tri-County) clients and their families with a better quality of life during the holidays. Tri-County clients, children, siblings, spouses and family members living in their homes are all included in the program. With special requests and needs, clients are asked to fill out a ""need and wish list.""

For the holidays, these lists are used to facilitate shopping for gifts and to help The Woodlands community members who would like to ""adopt"" a client and/or a family. Along with being able to adopt many families in the community, Tri-County was able to help over 750 people last year with the donations received. For their child, items requested varied from a winter coat, can opener or even pajamas. This holiday season, Tri-County still has over 130 families that need to be adopted.

At Tradition Bank in The Woodlands, gifts for clients and families adopted from Market Street may be dropped off. No later than December 8, all gifts need to be picked up, wrapped and delivered back to Tradition Bank. Feel free to contact Kimberly Willing, Coordinator of Resource Development, at 936 521-6100 if you need more information or would like to make a donation and/or adopt an individual consumer or family.

Market Street is located in The Woodlands, near wonderful subdivisions such as Creekside Park, East Shore, Grogan's Forest, Grogan's Mill, Harper's Landing, Panther Creek, Town Center and Windsor Lakes.
