Shoppers could be waiting until later to begin their back-to-school shopping, making Labor Day a prime day for retailers, with the September holiday falling later in September and Texas' mandate that public schools may not start until the last week in August. A known retail trade group, the National Retail Federation, reports that a survey produced by BIGresearch shows that as of Tuesday, August 11, the average American family had finished only 41.6 percent of their back-to-school shopping.
The Woodlands Mall will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, for these last-minute back-to-school shoppers and individuals looking for the newest fall fashions.
Department stores, entertainment venues and restaurants at The Woodlands' shopping center may be open for different hours for the day. Please call The Woodlands Mall for more information concerning opening and closing times.
