THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands LearningRx, located at 4840 West Panther Creek, Suite 205, village of Panther Creek, opened its doors five years ago. Since then, enrollment in the brain-training center has doubled, and the business has continued to thrive.
Current and former students celebrated the anniversary with staff on June 15 at Villa Sport, 4141 Technology Forest Blvd. Kim Bellini, owner and director of The Woodlands LearningRx, opened a franchise of the national company with her mother, Beth Buzbee, in April 2008.
Both spent years teaching in the Conroe Independent School District and wanted to do more to help children succeed in school.
For the mother-daughter duo, starting a business together was the logical next step. They left their teaching careers in 2008 to co-found The Woodlands LearningRx, a center that uses one-on-one training to build cognitive skills in both students and adults.
Since the center opened, Bellini and Buzbee have seen steady growth at their location. In 2010, they expanded their office by 900 sq. ft. to accommodate a growing client base.
In its years of operation, The Woodlands LearningRx has been presented with four Customer Service Awards by the national office in Colorado.
Bellini says the testing and training techniques used at the center have helped many students, as well as adults, overcome life-long learning challenges. The unique one-on-one training at LearningRx transforms a student's ability to learn at a core, cognitive level.
