The American Heart Association (AHA) is finalizing preparations for the Start! Heart Walk and continuing to recruit walkers, with just a week to go. On Saturday, November 7, Heart Walk is set to take place at Northshore Park at 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands, Tx.

Followed by a warm-up at 8:00 a.m., check in is at 7:30 a.m. At 8:30 a.m., the walk begins.

For the Montgomery County Heart Walk, sponsors and walkers have raised almost three-fourths of the AHA goal. Needed to reach the goal, walkers that sign up in the coming weeks will help raise the additional $50,000.

With a little philanthropy mixed in, the Montgomery County Heart Walk offers entertainment for the whole family. Knowing that after months of fundraising they have made a lasting mark on heart health, walkers will enjoy their day at the walk.

""Funds raised for the Heart Walk go towards research to reduce heart disease and stroke. Reducing heart disease and stroke by 25 percent results in saving about 2,000,000 lives per year,"" stated Megan Crawford, AHA Corporate Market Director.

Northshore Park is located in The Woodlands, among the gorgeous subdivisions, Panther Creek and East Shore.
