The Art of Baseball includes the Houston Symphony on Wednesday, April 25 at The Woodlands Pavilion in The Woodlands, Tx.

For orchestra seating, tickets are $15.

Lawn and mezzanine seating are free courtesy of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Woodforest National Bank.

Also, this event is sponsored in part by Rico's Restaurants and Houston Family Magazine.

For free seating, tickets are not required.

For the free Hats Off to Reading event, gates open 5:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. for other pre-concert activities.

This major league event includes the best music from the ballpark including ""Take Me Out to the Ballgame"" and ""National Game March.""

In order to keep the baseball theme going, the program also features Main Theme from ""Batman,"" referring to a person who steps up to the plate to hit a grand slam, ""Across the Stars: Attack of the Clones,"" referring to the famous Houston Astrodome, ""Orange Blossom Special"" and ""Deep in the Heart of Texas,"" relating to Minute Maid Park, and more.
""Voice of the Houston Astros"" and Hall of Famer Milo Hamilton joins the symphony to narrate ""Casey at the Bat.""

During the concert, a special live art performance is scheduled to take place with Conroe ISD art students and ORWALL baseball players creating a one-of-a-kind painting relating to the evening's program.

This art performance is in conjunction with BAM! (Because Art Matters!) and The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council.

New additions to The Woodlands Pavilion's stage includes a brand new orchestra shell that was custom built for The Pavilion for Houston Symphony concerts and a high-definition video camera/projection system that projects the very best video possible on larger screens.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., children are invited to join the fun at the Hats Off to Reading Celebration in The Pavilion's House of Blues Hospitality Tent.

Hats Off to Reading is a free event sponsored by the Reading Odyssey Committee, a community coalition that welcomes students to develop a lifelong love of reading.

Children may take home a free book courtesy of Conroe ISD and Scholastic Book Fairs, and participate in activities children love such as a book walk, face painting, hat-making, fishing for prizes and a coloring contest with prizes provided by Chick-fil-A and Scholastic.

Other pre-concert activities in the Fidelity Investments Plaza start at 6 p.m. with The Woodlands Pavilion Partners Arts and Crafts booth and Instrument Petting Zoo, Fidelity Investments, Radio Disney, Woodforest National Bank, Houston Family Magazine and The Woodlands Art League.

Feel free to come and meet the Chick-fil-A Cow and Junction Jack of the Houston Astros.

Children are encouraged to wear their favorite baseball team jersey or Astros attire for the occasion.

The Woodlands Pavilion is located in The Woodlands by gorgeous communities like Town Center and Windsor Lakes.
