From 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 12 senior citizens from Interfaith in The Woodlands are scheduled to gather in The Courtyard at The Woodlands Mall in The Woodlands, Tx to complete a collaborative mural, Remember When.
The senior artists, led by Vickie McMillan, wildlife conservation artist and collaborative community artist, are scheduled to complete the mural, and shoppers are welcome to pick up a paintbrush and work on the project with the group.
While the artists and shoppers paint, The John Cooper School Choir, Mitchell Intermediate Honor Orchestra and Maddison Urbanaski, a 12-year-old singer-songwriter, are scheduled to perform.
The Remember When mural reflects what life was like for the senior artists in their days of youth, focusing on family, simplicity and values as compared to the rapid way of life in today's society.
When the piece is completed, it is scheduled to be displayed in The Spotlight on the Arts Gallery on the second floor of The Woodlands Mall, near the Food Court and later permanently installed at the Interfaith in The Woodlands offices.
The Woodlands Mall is located in The Woodlands by gorgeous communities like Grogan's Forest and Grogan's Mill.
