On Friday, July 3, the "Star-Spangled Salute"" Concert will be held at The Pavilion. The free ""Star-Spangled Salute"" concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion invites active, reserve and recently discharged service men and women. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and The Woodlands Development Company, who has sponsored the ""Star-Spangled Salute"" concert since its beginning in 1990, will present a special homage to them.


Michael Krajewski, the Principal Pops Conductor, will lead the Houston Symphony in an assortment of patriotic tunes. This Independence Eve event, the Symphony will perform a selection of American classics, traditional favorites, and Tchaikovsky's.


With gates opening at 6:30 pm, a specially-marked reserved section will be available for seating at The Pavilion. Up to four seats will be held for active, reserve and recently discharged service men and women per family. Beginning at 8 pm, service men and women will be honored at the start of the program.
