The 43rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference is scheduled to be orbiting the surrounding restaurants and venues of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott in The Woodlands, Tx from Sunday, March 18 through Friday, March 23.
This annual conference, organized by Universities Space Research Association, brings together an estimated 2,000 attendees in all fields of geology, astronomy, planetary science and more.
This year a second conference, Nuclear Emerging Technologies for Space, is scheduled to be joining the main conference at the end of the week, bringing an additional 150 people.
Several of the attendees are government travelers and college students and all are on travel budgets.
Those bringing their families and spouses are looking for children-friendly activities, dining, and shopping.
