The Woodlands residents who battle the daily commuting grind along Interstate 45 and the Hardy Toll Road will have another option by the end of 2007.
Because of the demand, The District, which manages the lots, plans to build an interim lot that will hold 200 vehicles at The Woodlands newest Park and Ride, located off Ashlane Way. It plans to operate seven buses a day to Houston from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. when it initially opens. The District will continue work on the rest of the 1,000 space lot when the interim lots is complete.
A contract has been awarded to build an interim lot for the new Woodlands Parkway Park and Ride in Sterling Ridge, and it may open as early as November. The District already operates two Park and Ride lots in The Woodlands, each with 1,000 parking spaces, and they are nearing capacity.
Do you use the existing Park and Ride lots? Think one more lot with a capacity for 1,000 vehicles will help ease traffic?
