On January 1, 2011, online registration for the 2011 CBandI Triathlon in The Woodlands, Tx opens to the public at The Woodlands Township's Web site.

Produced by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, the eighth annual CBandI Tri is scheduled to be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011.

The triathlon is scheduled to start and end in Northshore Park.

CBandI Tri offers first-rate race management, high-caliber competition and a scenic course.

The race consists of a 15-mile bike course, 500-meter swim course and five-kilometer run course.

The race is scheduled to be a sanctioned USA Triathlon (USAT) event and is scheduled to include a field of 1,000 participants.

This event has reached capacity and sold out prior to the event for the past seven years.

The event is scheduled to start with Elite/Pro wave swim starting at 7:00 a.m. in Lake Woodlands, followed by a bike and run through The Woodlands Town Center.

An awards party including music, food, beverages and door prizes is scheduled to be held following the race.

Northshore Park is located in The Woodlands by beautiful subdivisions like Town Center and Windsor Lakes.
