The Fountains at The Woodlands Waterway Square in The Woodlands, Tx are scheduled to be programmed with a wide range of patriotic songs, with the Fourth of July just around the corner.

The new songs are set to run Monday, June 14 to Monday, July 5, 2010 and include favorite patriotic classics such as ""Proud to be an American"" by Lee Greenwood, ""America the Beautiful"" by Ray Charles, ""National Emblem,"" ""Seventy Six Trombones,"" ""God Bless America"" and ""Stars and Stripes Forever.""

The shows are scheduled to be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays, and 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekends.

Nick Wolda, President of The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau, stated ""We're pleased the fountains will be playing these patriotic songs. The Woodlands is a great place to celebrate the Fourth of July and it's very significant to have these spectacular patriotic songs playing in the magnificent series of fountains. Our residents and visitors will feel the pride of being an American in one of the greatest towns in all of America, The Woodlands.""

Located along Lake Robbins Drive between Waterway Avenue and Woodloch Forest Drive, The Woodlands Waterway Square includes a 120-foot long, 10-foot high stone water wall where ribbons of water flow down seven terraced levels to a lower pond with 20 cascade jets.

The water wall is flanked by stepped water cascades and stairs, all leading to an upper fountain containing 80 jets and three boomer jets that shoot water up to 75 feet high.

The waterfalls, water jets and cascades are designed to create a wide range of effects and displays ranging from the subtle flow of water over a stone wall to dancing columns of water, to intense bursts of water shooting many stories into the air.

The Woodlands Waterway Square includes 7 speakers on the upper level and 12 speakers on the lower level.
