Color expert Kate Smith is returning to The Woodlands, Tx for the Ninth Annual Fall Home and Garden Show.
Smith is scheduled to discuss all the latest color trends for fall and demonstrate how to transition into color for the holidays at the show.
The public can attend her presentations at the event scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, August 27 and 28 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center, located at 1601 Lake Robbins Drive.
Also, Smith is scheduled to be available for one-on-one consultations on both days.
Smith stated that no one should be intimidated by using color.
She added that metallics are especially popular this season, and that complex neutral tones are also trendy.
She stated, ""Whites are really cool right now, and we're still loving blues.""
According to Smith, fall is a good time to rethink color palettes around the home.
She said, ""Anytime there's a change of season, it is a great time to rethink style and color. We're in a mode of change already. Why not rethink what we surround ourselves with and give ourselves a mood boost.""
Smith stated that colors can affect people more than they may think.
""Color has such a profound ability to impact our moods. Our tastes change. So you should find what resonates or speaks to you now and listen to that. Refresh and rethink,"" according to Smith.
Smith added that she encourages people to consider what colors will make them more energized about life.
She stated, ""I'm all about feeling good and making use of that in our surroundings. I want to use color to uplift our spirits. Color works to elevate mood.""
