Audubon International has designated The Club at Carlton Woods - Nicklaus Course as a ""Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary"". This distinguished certification demonstrates that this club is maintaining a high degree of environmental quality in various areas like Environmental Planning, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Wildlife and Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Water Quality Management and Water Conservation.

The Club at Carlton Woods is one of 637 courses in the World to receive this high honor for its high standards. The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program is designed for Golf courses and is made to promote ecologically-sound land management and the importance of the conservation of natural resources on golf courses.

This wonderful program is made to help personnel organize, plan, implement and document an environmental management program and get recognized in their efforts.
