THE WOODLANDS, TX - Music in The Woodlands will be present on the 4th of July celebrations. Four live music performances will be showcasing alternative rock to toe-tappin' Texan sounds at the 16th Annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival in The Woodlands on July 4, 2013 with performances in both Town Green Park and Waterway Square. The Festival and Fireworks Extravaganza are brought to you in part by The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau, Ellis and Ellis Private Wealth Advisors and BBVA Compass.
Singer and songwriter Parker McCollum will take to the Festival Stage in Town Green Park, sponsored by Bud Light, for two performances at 6:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. Texas musician Grady Skelton will present his unique blend of country sounds on the Festival Stage at 8:15 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Over at the nearby Festival Stage in Waterway Square, sponsored by Talisman Energy, the alternative rock band from Austin, The Knowhow, will perform at 6:10 p.m. and SERAPH, an Americana rock band also from Austin, will perform in Waterway Square at 7:55 p.m. following The Knowhow.
In addition to the free live music, families can enjoy games, H-E-B hot dog and watermelon-eating contests and more at Town Green Park and Waterway Square. The Festival's Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by BBVA Compass, will conclude the evening with fireworks launched from two locations – Timberloch Place near I-45 and Waterway Square – and will be simulcast on Sunny 99.1.
