THE WOODLANDS, TX- The 2012 Montgomery County Heart Walk will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at Aon-Hewitt Northshore Park, 9500 Lakeside Blvd., Village of Panther Creek in The Woodlands.
More than 3,000 groups and individuals are expected to participate in the non-competitive 5K walk to raise money to fight heart disease and stroke and help to build awareness and strengthen education.
A fundraising goal of $400,000 has been set by the American Heart Association.
The park opens to walkers at 8 a.m., with an opening ceremony taking place at 8:30 a.m. The walk officially starts at 9 a.m.
Included at the event are heart-healthy giveaways for the whole family, the sharing of survivor stories and presentation of the Lifestyle Change Award, Top Walker Award and Top Heart Walk Team Award.
