Mercury Baroque is scheduled to return to The Woodlands, Tx for another season of fun-filled classical music performances at The John Cooper School's performing arts center.

A special all-Mozart concert entitled A Little Night Music is set to begin the series on Sunday, September 4th at 2 p.m.

Mozart's famed Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, a serenade for string orchestra and one of the most recognizable pieces of classical music, is headlining this special concert.

Also, Maestro Antoine Plante is scheduled to lead Mercury Baroque in Mozart's Serenata Notturna, a playful piece that showcases a rather unusual quartet of solo instruments (2 violins, viola and double bass) with an orchestral accompaniment.

To complete the evening's program, Two Divertimenti, written when Mozart was only 16 years old is scheduled.

Antoine Plante, Artistic Director for Mercury Baroque, stated ""Many people are familiar with Mozart's music, yet most have yet to hear Mozart performed on period accurate instruments. Our historically inspired approach brings a freshness and vitality to Mozart that all will enjoy.""

John Cooper School is located in The Woodlands by luxurious communities like Grogan's Mill and Grogan's Forest.
