THE WOODLANDS, TX- Memorial Hermann The Woodlands ""in the Pink of health"" Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon seated 1,260 attendees for their fundraiser luncheon on Friday, October 12, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel. This was the largest crowd to date for the twelve-year event that has raised a total of over two million dollars.
The event included a champagne reception, shopping, silent auction, breast cancer information booths, luncheon, and program.
The highlight of the event were co-authors and television celebrities, Giuliana and Bill Rancic, who wrote the national best seller ""I Do, Now What."" They were keynote speakers, sharing their insight into coping with Giuliana's diagnosis of breast cancer, and the power of a positive attitude.
The fundraising proceeds are prorated across three essential programs: providing mammograms for the Interfaith Community Clinic, educational materials for breast cancer awareness, and funding the latest technology for earlier detection of breast cancer.
