THE WOODLANDS, TX - The can't-miss benefit of the season – the 13th Annual Memorial Hermann In the Pink of Health Luncheon – has again sold out weeks before the event.

"The community has embraced this luncheon and truly understands how it positively impacts the women of Montgomery County,"" said In the Pink of Health co-chairs Carrie Hyman and Melissa Preston. ""But it's not without hard work. The women on this committee continue to amaze us. Their dedication to breast cancer awareness and raising money to support their neighbors battling the disease should be applauded.""

The 13th Annual Memorial Hermann In the Pink of Health Luncheon, scheduled for Friday, October 11 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, is a time to honor and support the cause, but it's also a time to have fun. The day starts with a champagne reception, shopping and a silent auction. It culminates with the luncheon, where guests will learn more about breast and ovarian cancer and also be entertained by guest speakers Marlee Matlin and Henry Winkler.

""The silent auction continues to be a highlight of the 13th Annual Memorial Hermann In the Pink of Health Luncheon because our committee works tirelessly to secure items that attendees will find irresistible,"" added the co-chairs. ""From relaxing vacations and spa services, to an all-inclusive billiards boys-night-out and a football signed by Texas A/M coach Kevin Sumlin, women and men alike will find something they can't live without.""

New this year is the addition of a ""Raffle for a Cause"" sponsored by local designer Elaine Turner. Elaine Turner will showcase six vignettes, each including three to five pieces of product (handbags, shoes, accessories). Each vignette will be valued at $1,600. In the Pink attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win their look – or looks – of choice.
