Santa is scheduled to make his grand entrance on his magical floating sleigh amidst a spectacular laser light show at the 29th Annual Lighting of the Doves and the 5th Annual International Winter On The Waterway on Saturday, November 19.

Santa is scheduled to arrive around 7:00 p.m. to flip the switch under a flurry of laser beams to formally announce the holiday season in The Woodlands, Tx.

Presented by The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau, this year's Lighting of the Doves and International Winter On The Waterway is scheduled to take place at Town Green Park, located at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., highlighted with interactive booths and games, balloon artists, a snow play area, face painters, inflatables, ice carvers, and much more.

Due to extreme drought conditions in Montgomery County, a fireworks show has been replaced by a spectacular laser light show.

The Woodlands Fire Department's Fire Chief Alan Benson stated, ""While Montgomery County is currently in the moderate range regarding dangerous fire conditions, the weather projections are still very bleak relating to sufficient rainfall accumulations and the drought is still very real. Additionally, we do not want to send any type of message that it is okay to shoot fireworks. We cannot be complacent about preventing wildfires, from either fireworks, BBQ grills, fire pits and even the discarded cigarette butts.

Nick Wolda, President of The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau, stated ""While fireworks have been a staple draw of Lighting of the Doves over the years, we need to heed the advice of The Woodlands Fire Chief and create an exciting alternative. We believe a laser light show, in conjunction with the arrival of Santa Claus in one of the most unique ways found, will delight thousands of people attending the event.""

Town Green Park is located in The Woodlands by luxurious communities like Town Center and Windsor Lakes.
