THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) annual "Light the Night Montgomery County Walk"" returns on Sunday, October 21 at Market Street. The program begins at 7:00 pm with the walk beginning promptly at 7:30 pm.
Light the Night Walk is the nation's night to pay tribute and illuminate hope to people battling cancer. Funds raised enable scientists to continue their research. LLS-funded research has led to key advances in understanding blood cancers and has helped produce new treatments to enhance and prolong lives.
In the Montgomery County area, over $20 million dollars per year go to researchers in the Texas Medical Center. Look for lovable mascot of The Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone, to make a special guest appearance.
