With its children and youth services awaiting, construction at the Impact Church in The Woodlands, Texas has begun.
The church, formerly known as St. Paul Church until May 2011, sits on 5.87 acres at 5401 Shadow Bend Place.
Impact Church will be adding a new multi-purpose building to its undersized campus.
Pastor Roche Coleman stated, ""The biggest thing is we are so restricted by space,"" said Janice Mensah, director of the children's ministry. ""There are so many things we want to do if we expand, and can create an environment for (the youth and children) to learn and expand in.""
The site's official groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 3 and is open to the public.
Currently, children (pre-kindergarten to fifth grade) ministries share a building for Sunday school and services.
The new 16,000-square-foot building is the first of two phases in the church's capital campaign, and is scheduled to be used for Sunday worship services and adult classes while the younger church members move to the current worship facility.
Coleman stated that the church needs to raise about $3 million to cover the cost.
""We will get to do more outreach during the summer with camps, and renting to organizations as well as during the week,"" he added.
Impact Church is located in a wonderful location where you will find several The Woodlands homes for sale and East Shore homes for sale.
