THE WOODLANDS, TX -The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau will host Memorial Day events at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26, in Waterway Square, 31 Waterway Square Place.

The two-day event will feature vendor booths representing local businesses and live music by various local and regional performers, including country act Leannasaurus Rex, classic rock group the Rock-a-Fellas, country/alternative crooners Josh Fuller and Dirt and Diesel, and variety act Nobody's Fool featuring Kelley Peters.

The free Memorial Day Weekend events will include strolling entertainers and a wide variety of children's activities, such as face painting and balloon art demonstrations.

""On Saturday, (guests can) enjoy complimentary face painting and on Sunday, a balloon artist will craft the finest balloon creations for families to enjoy,"" said Casey Snyder, marketing specialist for The Woodlands Township and general manager of The Woodlands CVB.

""Both nights, strolling entertainers will wander the crowd, enchanting guests with their talents.

All entertainment is free of charge. Also, the Children's Interactive Fountain is a huge splash for kids.""

Attendees can also enjoy fireworks displays presented by Wells Fargo at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
