The Grogan's Mill Village Association and the Grogan's Mill Merchants Association are working with Market Street on the possibility of moving the Saturday Farmers Market to the Grogan's Mill Shopping Center by this fall. We will keep you about all the details.

Construction at Wal-Mart is well underway and definitely ahead of schedule according to the construction supervisor. Wal-Mart has settled with the majority of homeowners about property damage caused by water runoff after the recent rains. They're in the final stages of additional reimbursements to the victims of the water damage.

The mosquitoes, while not gone, have definitely been diminished cause by a mosquito repellant system purchased and installed by Wal-Mart. Any questions you should have need to be directed to GMVA board member, Dan Avalos.

The utility companies have completed a survey of their underground lines along Deerfoot Circle. Some of the lines are in the area where the wall would be constructed. Contact GMVA board member Jim Upham for additional questions and/or concerns.

In November we will probably be voting on whether to accept the proposed legislation to permit Town Center Improvement District to expand to a Woodland-wide district and that would in which over time would be governed by a fully resident-elected seven-member-board. Residents need to be well informed on the issues and the implications. Links to the Community Association Web site and other sites that appear to be in development will be provided.

Also we will pass on information that we receive relating to public forums and other public discussions on this issue. We will also offer residents the chance to blog on the GMVA Web site and ask questions about what is happening. This will be the most important issue for residents to vote on since the development of the community. Our goal is to make sure your opinions are known.
