Dubbed "the pizza that made the Brooklyn Bridge famous,"" Grimaldi's Coal Brick-Oven Pizzeria has opened a new restaurant at 20 Waterway Avenue in The Woodlands Waterway Square District of The Woodlands Town Center in The Woodlands, Tx.

Established back in 1905, Grimaldi's traces its heritage back to the first pizzeria in America. Including Frank Sinatra and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, the smoky taste of coal-fired brick oven pizza became a ""must have"" for pizza lovers and celebrities alike.

When all pizzerias and bakeries cooked with coal because it gave the pizza a unique flavor and crisp crust that is not possible from gas, convection or wood ovens, baking in a coal-fired brick oven dates back 75 years.

Grimaldi's is an institution in the world of pizza. With more celebrity sightings than most 5-star restaurants, it has garnered more awards than any other pizzeria in the country.

Grimaldi's serves traditional pizza (as it began in Naples, Italy), salads, handmade calzones, desserts and includes an extensive martini list and selection of wines in an upscale yet casual, family oriented pizzeria, using only the freshest ingredients, ""secret recipe"" pizza sauce, dough and homemade mozzarella cheese.

Featuring a stunning view of the Fountains at Waterway Square, the restaurant includes an outdoor bar and patio for outdoor dining.
