THE WOODLANDS, TX - One of the best gifts to give a child in The Woodlands this holiday season is time together reading a holiday story.
Kim Bellini, director of The Woodlands LearningRx, said parents in search of suggestions for their holiday gift list might first stop by a local bookstore or library.
She suggests that each family pick choose their favorite story and make a tradition of reading it aloud to each other.
Bellini said parents might want to keep their favorite holiday books tucked away until after Thanksgiving, making it seem extra special to ""rediscover"" them each year.
Another fun idea is to encourage children to write their own holiday story, Bellini suggests.
Whether you read a holiday classic or retell a family story each year, let reading become part of the season's tradition for the families with homes in The Woodlands.
