The Wichita-based hotel development and management company that recently launched the AVIA collection of boutique hotels, LodgeWorks, has appointed new leadership for AVIA The Woodlands in The Woodlands, Tx, its fourth AVIA property. Taking the helm as general manager is David Brown and taking director of sales is Suzanne Deliganis. Coinciding with the completion of the AVIA The Woodlands model suites, located in Market Street at 9595 Six Pines Drive #1100 was the announcement and the hotel is open by appointment only.

In the field of hospitality and operational management, Brown brings to AVIA The Woodlands over 20 years of management experience. Brown served as Choice Hotels International's director of brand performance for its extended stay division, before joining the LodgeWorks team. He joined Summerfield Hotel Corporation as the general manager of two Summerfield Suites in the Atlanta area after bgeinning his career with the Marriott Corporation. One of the hotels earned the highest operating property profit in company history, under his leadership during the 1996 Summer Olympics. For the company, Brown served as a Regional Director as well.

LodgeWorks supports the AVIA Hotels' philosophy of ""living well on local time"" and the brand promise to serve as cordial local host helping guests explore The Woodlands and the local community, in choosing locals to head their leadership team.
