Conroe ISD Education Foundation is scheduled to hold the 6th Annual Scholarship Breakfast on Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 a.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands, Tx.

Guest Speaker, Superintendent Dr. Don Stockton, is scheduled to present an exciting and informative address on ""The State of Conroe ISD"", including major achievements the school district has accomplished in the past year.

The annual breakfast raises scholarship funds for both students and teachers at Conroe ISD.

Local attorney and CEF President Nelda Luce Blair stated, ""The Foundation's success over the past 11 years has been phenomenal in terms of the number of scholarships awarded, the amount of funds expended toward education, and the expansion of scholarships beyond students to include CISD teachers. With great support from the community, and from our volunteer Board of Directors, we have built a Foundation that is able to provide meaningful assistance to Conroe ISD.""

With the encouragement and guidance of Stockton, the Conroe ISD Education Foundation has awarded over $325,000.00 in scholarships, including student college awards, new teacher incentives, ""Seedling Grants"" to aid teachers with classroom expenses, and funds to help Conroe ISD educators achieve higher college degrees.

Stockton added, ""While some of our best teachers have the ability to earn a Masters degree or higher, the necessary classes can be expensive. The Conroe ISD Education Foundation educator scholarships help with tuition, so our teachers become an even more valuable asset to Conroe ISD.""

The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center is located in The Woodlands by wonderful communities like Town Center and Windsor Lakes.
