THE WOODLANDS, TX - Lone Star College-Montgomery's Writers in Performance series continues its fall line-up with a reading by award-winning poet Nathan Brown on Thursday, November 15, at 3 p.m., in the Library Building (Building F).

A noted writer, Brown has published eight books, including his most recent: Karma Crisis: New and Selected Poems (Mezcalita Press, 2012).

Brown, who's also a musician, editor, and photographer, leads workshops in high schools, universities, and community organizations on creativity, creative writing, and the need for readers to not give up on poetry. He also performs poetry readings and concerts.

Brown holds a Ph.D in creative and professional writing from the University of Oklahoma, where he is now a faculty member.

The goal of the Writers in Performance series is to bring thought-provoking literature and cultural diversity to the campus of LSC-Montgomery and the surrounding community in The Woodlands.
