THE WOODLANDS, TX - Tim Mooney, author of 15 celebrated versions of the plays of Moliere, is bringing his one-man sci-fi thriller, Criteria, to Lone Star College-Montgomery in The Woodlands on Tuesday, November 13, at 1 p.m., in the Mainstage Theatre of the Performing Arts Center (Building D).
Set 300 years into the future, Criteria depicts a country transformed into the logical product of an administration blind to the impact of its own bureaucracy. It's a world of numberism, and thus your social security number determines your very existence.
One man, on a mission to wipe out the ""bloated, bourgeois Fives,"" finds his entire worldview challenged by a chance encounter in a country diner. It is an encounter both hilarious and hauntingly plausible.
Tickets for the performance of Criteria are just $5. This performance is part of the Future Educational Cohort, and cohort students, theatre students, and season ticket holders are invited to see the event for free.
