The United States Golf Association has announced that the Jack Nicklaus Course at The Club at Carlton Woods in Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas is scheduled to host the 2014 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, set for July 21 – 26, 2014.
USGA Vice President Thomas J. O'Toole Jr. stated, ""The USGA is excited to bring the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship to The Club at Carlton Woods, returning this championship to the state of Texas for the first time since 2001. The Jack Nicklaus Course will be a tough examination for the players and will help determine the best junior golfer in the United States.""
The event is scheduled for July 21-26, 2014, and is scheduled to be the third USGA championship held at The Club at Carlton Woods.
The Jack Nicklaus Course hosted the USGA Women's State Team Championship in 2007, while the club's Fazio Course hosted the 2007 USGA Men's State Team Championship.
Also, the club has hosted championship qualifying rounds, including the U.S. Open and U.S. Mid-Amateur, and was the site for the Texas State Amateur in 2004.
