According to Dan Leverett, vice president of commercial for The Woodlands Development Company, Cantex Continuing Care Network has bought a 5.3-acre site in The Woodlands' Village of Creekside Park in The Woodlands, Tx for construction of a 112-bed, an estimated 66,000-square-foot skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
The site is located on Creekside Forest Drive near Gosling Road, and is situated within a few miles of three hospitals such as Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital, St. Luke's The Woodlands Hospital and St. Luke's Lakeside Hospital.
The facility is scheduled to include 96 private occupancy resident rooms and eight semi-private occupancy rooms.
Additional features include a library with computer and Internet access, a formal living area with fireplace, a chapel, an amenities shop, and a beauty salon.
A menu option formal dining room, two neighborhood cafes, and a large multi-disciplinary rehabilitation center to facilitate both in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation needs will be included as well.
Construction of the new continuing care facility is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2012 with a planned opening in the third quarter of 2013.
