THE WOODLANDS, TX- Fundraising creativity is not in short supply in The Woodlands, TX. Fundraising efforts in just the first weekend in October included a road rally in both cars and on motorcycles, walk-a-thons, and no where but Texas...a shootout. But fundraising can be as simple as passing out the bingo cards.
Nowhere is bingo played with such passion as The Forum in The Woodlands, in the village of Panther Creek. A competitive spirit for Bingo mixed in with gourmet food, the staff at The Forum put together a breast cancer fundraiser with little effort.
Even those who don't win a prize, go away a winner. Many meet a new friend, everyone has had a hot meal, and a percentage of the proceeds of the sale of Pampered Chef merchandise is donated to breast cancer research.
Fundraising doesn't necessarily require large committees and a year of planning, complicated logistics, or elaborate galas. It just takes good friends, good food, good times, and a good cause.
