The Woodlands Country Club Men's Tennis Association in The Woodlands, Tx has announced that the 33rd annual Woodlands Junior Clay Court Tennis Championships is scheduled to be held June 17 through June 19, 2011 at The Woodlands Country Club Tennis Center and nearby locations.

David Peterson, president of the WMTA, stated ""The annual JCCC tournament is a community tradition in The Woodlands and is open to the public.""

Sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association and the Texas Tennis Association, the tournament is scheduled to include singles and doubles boys' and girls' matches in the 12 through 18 year age brackets.

Levels of play are scheduled to be ZATs, Champs, and Superchamps.

In the 2010 Junior Clay Court Championships, over 350 juniors from around Texas and the United States participated.

The tournament expects to attract even more players to compete for 1st, 2nd, and Consolation-place medals this year.

Peterson stated, ""This tournament is quite competitive and we provide very active court monitors. There are few sanctioned junior tournaments in Texas on clay so the talent we see every year is great - I just love to watch them play""

Proceeds from the event are scheduled to benefit local charities including Interfaith of The Woodlands.

For the tournament, The Woodlands Men's Tennis Association is seeking donor support and volunteers to help run it.

The Woodlands Country Club Tennis Center is located in The Woodlands by wonderful communities like Carlton Woods Creekside and Cochran's Crossing.
