The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Tx is scheduled to host the Texas Music Festival Orchestra for a program titled Made In America June 17 at 8:00 p.m.

The free hour-long concert includes over 100 young gifted musicians from around the world, in conjunction with the Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival.

Finalists of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Young Artist Competition are scheduled to be announced.

All finalists receive a medal for their efforts, as well as a cash award.

Gates are scheduled to open at 7:00 p.m.

The University of Houston Moore's School of Music sponsors the Texas Music Festival's four-week program that allows young musicians from all parts of the world to not only perform together, but compete against each other as well.

Known as the Orchestral Fellows, participants, chosen by competitive live and recorded auditions, are advanced students and young professional musicians who come from throughout the U.S., Mexico, Europe, Asia, Canada, Central and South America.

Under the guidance of an international faculty of artists, teachers and conductors, participants study and rehearse.

Be sure to arrive early for pre-concert activities in the Fidelity Investments Plaza beginning at 7:00 p.m. and featuring The Pavilion Partners Instrument Petting Zoo, Woodforest National Bank and Audi of America, official automobile of The Pavilion.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is located in gorgeous communities like Alden Bridge and Creekside Park.
